DeLaet withdraws from Memorial over chipping 'anxiety'

Graham DeLaet withdrew from the Memorial Tournament Wednesday afternoon, a decision he attributed to short-game "anxiety" in a tweet shortly thereafter.

DeLaet has made 16 starts this season, most recently a missed cut at the AT&T Byron Nelson two weeks ago. Following the withdrawal, the Canadian offered a candid explanation to his more than 86,000 followers:

I'm dealing with incredible anxiety while chipping/pitching right now. It's not fun. I needed to WD to get it sorted out and get back ASAP.

DeLaet's short-game stats have dropped off in recent years.
