A year after winning the RBC Heritage with a dramatic hole-out on the 72nd hole, Kuchar is again atop the leaderboard at Harbour Town after rounds of 68 and 66.
Kuchar began the day two shots behind Graeme McDowell and Matt Every. While he was unable to keep pace with playing partner Jordan Spieth, who carded a second-round 62, Kuchar played well enough to take a one-shot lead over McDowell at the conclusion of his round, with Spieth headlining the group of contenders at 6 under, two shots off the pace.
