Decision to start with foursomes backfires on Price

INCHEON, South Korea – The second guessing has started early at the Presidents Cup.

The day’s final match wasn’t even completed and there was already a chorus of questions regarding many of International captain Nick Price’s decisions, starting with his choice of foursomes play to begin the week.

The U.S. enjoys a 15-5-1 record, including Thursday’s 4-1 rout, in foursomes at the Presidents Cup, compared to a 6-8-6 record in fourballs, prompting some to question Price’s decision to lead off the matches with a format with which his team has traditionally struggled.

“It’s going to come and get you anytime, honestly,” Price said.
