The skies opened up during the first round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, halting play for more than an hour. But the weather did not appear to give any group an advantage, as Boo Weekley and Brendon de Jonge came out of the morning and afternoon waves, respectively, to card 64s and share the lead.
Weekley started strong, making an eagle at the par-5 second after placing his second shot to 13 feet and converting on the putt. He would go on to make seven birdies and a bogey over the course of the round.
