World No. 1 Jason Day will pair up with Rickie Fowler when the Zurich Classic of New Orleans switches to a two-man team format in April, while former champ Justin Rose will team up with fellow Olympic medalist Henrik Stenson.
News of the format change broke last week, as the tournament will now feature 80 teams of two. The first 36 holes will include one round of foursomes and one round of fourballs, with the top 35 teams making the cut.
The top 80 qualified players will be allowed to choose their own partner, a rule that will allow friends Day and Fowler to team up.
