LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Don’t submit those PGA Tour Player of the Year ballots just yet.
Jason Day made the race for top player honors a bit more interesting Sunday with his victory at the BMW Championship. It was his PGA Tour-leading fifth win of the season, and fourth in his last six starts.
Jordan Spieth is still considered the favorite after his two-major, four-win campaign heading into next week’s Tour Championship.
“I still think it’s him,” Day said Sunday night. “But I’m hoping that I can go and win next week and get people talking about it a lot more.
