Day new No. 1 as Grillo, Sullivan crack top 50

Jason Day has once again ascended to the top of the world rankings, but this time he did it without hitting a shot.

Thanks to the divisor math involved in the OWGR, Day overtook Jordan Spieth for the No. 1 spot even though neither of them hit a competitive shot last week. This marks Day's second time in the top spot, and it ends another brief reign for Spieth, who became No. 1 with his season-ending Tour Championship win last month.

Day's point average is now 12.4235, while Spieth clocks in at 12.
