Day lets chance for season's second win slip away

On a day when soft conditions should have favored his length and high ball flight, Jason Day let a chance for his second victory of the season slip away.

Day, the co-leader after Saturday's suspension of play and Sunday morning's finish to Round 3, struggled on the final day at the Zurich Classic, ending up tied for fourth, three shots behind champion Justin Rose.

After a hot start in the morning, with three straight birdies on Nos. 5-7, Day's final 27 holes just weren't low enough to keep him in the hunt of the lift-clean-and-place shootout.
