Day: 'Glad I don’t have to play the course again'

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Unlike last year, there was precious little drama on Sunday at TPC Sawgrass.

Jason Day led by four strokes to begin the final round and despite a few stumbles early when his lead was trimmed to two shots, he finished the day in the same spot, four clear of Kevin Chappell to win his third event of 2016 and his seventh PGA Tour title in less than eight months.

Day turned in 38 to drop to 12 under, two shots clear of Ken Duke, but birdied the 10th and 12th holes to extend his lead and played the volatile closing stretch in 1 under par for a 71 for his 10th Tour title.
