Dawson fends off Langer for Senior British Open title

Marco Dawson has found his winning ways on the senior circuit, and he proved it Sunday at the Senior British Open.

Dawson, 51, fended off standout seniors Bernhard Langer, Colin Montgomerie and Miguel Angel Jimenez to win at Sunningdale Golf Club's Old Course in Berkshire, England.

In 413 starts spanning 29 years, Dawson is winless on the PGA Tour. But he has won twice this season on the Champions Tour, taking his latest at a major championship after shooting a 6-under 64 in the final round.

Dawson took the lead early, holing out for birdie from a greenside bunker on the second hole, but he had to rebound after making bogey at the eighth, his second in a span of three holes.
