Davis Shore is still searching for his first AJGA invitational victory. After 36 holes of the AJGA Rolex Tournament of Champions, the Class of 2017 golfer from Knoxville, Tenn., that win might not be far away.
Shore fired a second straight 4-under 67 Wednesday at Reynolds Lake Oconee in Greensboro, Ga., to take a five-shot lead over Norman Xiong. Shore sits at 8 under at the halfway mark of the event.
An Alabama commit, Shore made six birdies and two bogeys. He is being chased by players who already have an AJGA invitational victory.
Xiong, an Oregon commit who won the Thunderbird International Junior this year, shot 72 to drop to 3 under.
