Cristie Kerr shows mom's got it, too, in Tour Championship win

NAPLES, Fla. – Cristie Kerr turned the LPGA’s youth movement on its head, winning one for the moms on tour in dramatic fashion at the CME Group Tour Championship. At 38, Kerr is 20 years older than World No. 1 Lydia Ko. Kerr, a two-time major winner, turned professional before Ko was even born in 1996. And now, she has matched Ko’s age with 18 career victories.

“Age is just a number,” said Kerr. “I think that I've proved that out here. You can win in your mid-30s. Hopefully, I can win in my 40s, as well.”

On a day packed with head-pounding scenarios for year-end accolades, a crammed leaderboard only added to the drama of the 2015 finale.
