PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas – Cristie Kerr got a pep talk Thursday night at dinner from good friends Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer. She had opened 2016 with a 4-over 77 at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic. The Solheim Cup buds proposed a bet: If Kerr broke 70, she’d have to wear the glam (skinny!) white dress Creamer wore to the pro-am party on Friday night at Atlantis Resort.
An uplifted Kerr went out on a gusty day at the Ocean Club and tied Creamer’s tournament record of 8-under 65, a 12-shot difference from Round 1. She’s now at 4-under 142.
