The U.S. captain never intended to trot Paula Creamer and Morgan Pressel out in an afternoon fourball match. But the duo played so well in winning its foursomes match against Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen that Inkster just couldn’t resist.
The Americans were all square after six holes, then won four of the next seven holes to eventually win 3 and 2. Sure, Creamer and Pressel won, but honestly, Pettersen did not have her best stuff and Europe’s top team never threatened in the match.
