BRADENTON, Fla. – College sharpshooters, beware. When the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships set up shop on Florida’s west coast next week through early June, the nation’s premier collegiate players will have their hands full with Concession Golf Club.
It’s not only the prodigious length for this par-72 layout: 7,483 yards for the men, 6,468 for the women. Those are the posted yardages. If the NCAA were to set up the course at those lengths for these notoriously slow players, it would all but ensure six-hour rounds.
