Weather once again plagued the Zurich Classic of New Orleans on Saturday. Nearly six hours of daylight was lost mid-day as rain poured onto TPC Louisiana, but when players were able to return to the course at dusk, Erik Compton took advantage.
Compton, the two-time heart transplant recipient, birdied four of six holes Saturday evening to pull even with Jason Day, who led at the start of the round.
Compton and Day were at 13 under, a shot ahead of Justin Rose, Blayne Barber, Jerry Kelly and David Hearn at TPC Louisiana when play was suspended because of darkness.
