After a strong showing at the Irish Open, Nicolas Colsaerts took another big step toward solidifying a spot on the Belgian Olympic team this summer.
Colsaerts finished T-23 at the K Club, one week after a T-3 finish in Mauritius and three weeks removed from his T-15 result in the Volvo China Open. As a result, Colsaerts climbed another nine spots to No. 223 in the world rankings and is ranked 48th among the 60 players currently in line to tee it up in Brazil.
The world rankings from July 11, the week prior to the Open Championship, will be used to determine the Olympic field.
