OLYMPIA FIELDS, Ill. – The stroke-play portion of the U.S. Amateur finally is complete, and a few big names can exhale.
Several players were left in limbo heading into Wednesday after a 90-minute suspension because of rain backed up play Tuesday in the second round of the U.S. Amateur. That's deadly in a 312-player field. Consequently, play was suspended because of darkness at 7:13 p.m. CDT Tuesday.
