Coastal Georgia's Mike Cook named U.S. Palmer Cup coach

The leader for the Americans at the 2016 Palmer Cup is official, as Coastal Georgia coach Mike Cook was announced as the U.S. coach for the annual Ryder Cup-style competition on Tuesday.

Cook, who as been at Coastal Georgia since 2010, will be looking to get the Americans – who lead the series 10-8-1 – their first Palmer Cup victory on European soil since 2010 when his squad competes at Formby Golf Club in England from June 24-26.

“This is truly an honor being selected as the coach for the U.S. team for this year’s Arnold Palmer Cup.
