European captain Darren Clarke has named three of his assistants for the Ryder Cup in September.
Speaking after a second-round 77 at the BMW PGA Championship that will see him comfortably miss the cut at Wentworth, Clarke revealed his vice-captains to help Europe defend their title at Hazeltine will be Padraig Harrington, Thomas Bjorn and Paul Lawrie.
Clarke, who played in five consecutive Ryder Cups from 1997 and was one of Colin Montgomerie's assistants in 2010, has chosen three vice-captains with genuine pedigree in the competition.
Three-time major champion Harrington played in six straight Ryder Cups from 1999, while Bjorn played in 1997, 2002 and 2014 -- all of which were won by Europe.
