Cheng Jin retains two-shot cushion at Asia-Pacific Amateur

It was another sub-70 round for Cheng Jin and it was enough for him to keep a two-shot lead through 36 holes at the Asia-Pacific Amateur.

The first round, which was suspended due to darkness Thursday, resumed on Friday morning, and by its conclusion, Jin's overnight two-shot lead remained steady. In the second round, Jin birdied three of the four par-5s at Clearwater Golf and Country Club and captured four total in a 2-under 68 that put the leader 10 under total.

The 17-year-old is No. 33 in the world and China's top-ranked amateur. So even after a 68 in blustery conditions, Jin could still sees room for improvement.
