Chase Koepka went low in the third round of the Sunnehanna Amateur, posting a third-round 66 to secure a two-shot lead with which to start the final round. Koepka, who will be a South Florida senior in the fall, is now 10 under on the par-70 Sunnehanna Country Club layout in Johnstown, Pa.
This summer’s Sunnehanna is a who’s who of college golf. Koepka is followed by Derek Bard of Virginia and J.T. Poston of Western Carolina. Each of those players posted rounds of 77 on Firday.
First-round leader Cody Proveaux, a rising Clemson senior, is tied for fourth with Texas’ Dough Ghim and Auburn’s Michael Johnson.
