Bradenton, Fla. – Right about the time Stanford’s Casey Danielson boarded a plane bound for California, her older brother Charlie began his practice round at Concession Golf Club. One day after women’s college golf capped off a spectacular show at the NCAA Championship, the men stepped in.
For the Danielson family, Act II at Concession means a legitimate chance at two national titles. Danielson, a sophomore at Stanford who went 3-0 in match play, helped the Cardinal win their first NCAA title in 30 appearances. Now Charlie, a 6-foot-5 junior at top-ranked Illinois, will try to match his little sister’s efforts.
