Champions in Houston to host U.S. Women's Open in 2020

Champions Golf Club in Houston, Texas, has been selected as the site for the 2020 U.S. Women’s Open, the USGA announced Friday.

The tournament will take place June 4-7 and be held on the club’s Cypress Creek course.

"Having the U.S. Women’s Open at Champions Golf Club is a rare privilege,” said club president Jack Burke Jr, who, along with Jimmy Demaret, founded the club in 1957. “Houston will get the opportunity to see the best female players in the world compete in our city. The Houston Golf Association has done great work for the game here, and we’re happy that the USGA will add to their hard work.
