NORTON, Mass. – Paul Casey talked all week of positioning himself for a playoff run that would take him to the Tour Championship and, if things went his way, the FedEx Cup title.
Of course, he also talked of getting his first victory on the PGA Tour since 2009, so in the moments after losing a three-stroke lead at the Deutsche Bank Championship he wasn’t interested in moral victories.
“Not right now standing here,” said Casey, who closed with a 73 to finish second, two strokes behind winner Rory McIlroy.
