Candie Kung and Minjee Lee are knotted at the top of the leaderboard after the first round of the LPGA’s HSBC Women’s Champions as each carded 5-under 67.
Kung got to the top with five birdies, an eagle and two bogeys while Lee got there with four birdies, an eagle and a bogey. Each player managed to eagle the par-5 12th at Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore.
“I've been working hard in the offseason. I've got a great team behind me working on different parts of my game,” Kung told reporters. “I was in the gym a little bit and I think we pretty much have a good program put together for my offseason.
