It may be part driver and part fairway wood, but Callaway is not calling the new Bertha Mini 1.5 either of those things – the company thinks it can be both for accomplished players and high-handicappers alike.
Off the tee, the combination of a forged Hyper Speed face cup and a lightweight forged composite crown should boost ball speed and lower the center of gravity to help get the ball airborne more easily.
The Bertha Mini 1.5 has a 235cc head, about half the size of a typical driver. It is 35 percent larger than the Callaway XR 3-wood.
