PALM HARBOR, Fla. – Last month’s ruling by U.S. District Court Judge Vince Chhabria to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a group of caddies against the PGA Tour may not be the final chapter to the legal wrangling.
Attorneys for the caddies filed an appeal of Chhabria’s ruling on Monday in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
In the ruling issued on Feb. 9, Chhabria wrote, “The caddies’ overall complaint about poor treatment by the Tour has merit, but this federal lawsuit about bibs does not.”
