UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. — Swing instructor Butch Harmon, who taught Tiger Woods during eight of his 14 major-championship victories, said his former student “still looks a little lost” and likely will struggle this week at the U.S. Open.
“I’m not sure this golf course will suit the fact that he’s not in control of his golf ball as well as we’re used to seeing him,” Harmon said of Woods' prospects at Chambers Bay, site of the 115th national championship. “I think Tiger will struggle around here.”
Harmon’s remarks were made on the Sirius/XM radio show “Son of a Butch,” hosted by his son, Claude Harmon III.
