ORLANDO, Fla. –– It started as a press conference, but eventually broke into a physics lesson.
At 22 years old, amateur Bryson DeChambeau may be the smartest player in the field at the Arnold Palmer Invitational this week.
An sponsor invitee, DeChambeau has already experienced more professional events, nine, than most amateurs. His accomplishments on the course, along with his cool demeanor and unique equipment setup, put him in a league of his own.
“I knew that F (force) equals MA, mass and acceleration,” DeChambeau said during the impromtu physics lesson to the assembled media. “Those two can be exchanged in relatively equal terms when swung at a relatively low velocity, like compared to other things in this world.
