SHANGHAI — Kristoffer Broberg sank a 10-foot birdie putt on the first playoff hole to win the BMW Masters on Sunday over Patrick Reed.
Broberg and Reed both finished regulation at 17-under 271, each missing birdie putts on the 18th hole that would have won the tournament.
Two other title contenders, Thailand's Thongchai Jaidee and South Korea's An Byeong-hun, also barely missed birdie putts on the 18th to get in the playoff.
They finished in a four-way tie for third place with Henrik Stenson and Lucas Bjerregaard at 16 under.
