SAN FRANCISCO – Golf is a gentleman’s game, but even gentlemen can disagree, which was the case in Friday’s third round of group play at the WGC-Cadillac Match Pay when Keegan Bradley and Miguel Angel Jimenez almost came to blows.
Neither player had had a particularly good week, and both entered the match with an 0-2 record. Bradley had made only five birdies in his first two matches, neither match reaching the 17th hole. Jimenez had to be a little frustrated after losing to Bubba Watson, 5 and 4, on Wednesday and then shooting 68 in Thursday’s second round with five birdies only to fall, 2 up, to Louis Oosthuizen.
