AVONDALE, La. – Jason Bohn’s heart attack last month was a wakeup call for everyone in his family.
After doctors discovered that Bohn had 99 percent blockage in a major artery, his 72-year-old mother, Carol, recently went to the doctor to get checked out.
She underwent a stress test and wasn’t allowed to leave the hospital. Last Monday, she underwent triple-bypass surgery.
“If it saved my mother’s life,” Bohn said of his health scare, “it would probably be the greatest thing that could ever happen to me.”
Bohn returned to competition April 14 at the RBC Heritage, where he made the cut but faded on the weekend, ultimately settling for a tie for 69th.
