BMW Masters moment of silence among golf outpouring for Paris victims

Delays are usually dreaded by all in professional golf, but Sunday's one-minute stoppage at the BMW Masters was of an entirely different circumstance.

Tournament officials blew the horns usually used to stop play due to inclement weather at noon in Shanghai in order to commence a moment of silence for the victims of Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris.

Players halted their progress as they took off their hats, bowed their heads and closed their eyes in a compassionate display to remember the victims of a senseless act. The gesture went on for a full minute until the horns blew again to resume play in the midst of the tournament's final round:

A minute's silence was observed by everyone at the #BMWMasters in memory of the victims of the Paris attacks.
