GAINESVILLE, Va. – Willard Hurley Jr., the father of PGA Tour player Billy Hurley III, has been located in Texas the Leesburg (Va.) Police Department announced on Friday.
Willard Hurley, who has been missing since July 19, was located when a citizen recognized him from media reports and notified local law enforcement.
According to the release, Willard Hurley told Texas police that “he is fine physically and is simply travelling” and that he “did not wish to reveal the reasons behind his departure.”
Billy Hurley made an emotional plea on Tuesday to the media in an attempt to locate his father, who is a former Leesburg police officer.
