Bernhard Langer wins Champions Tour Player of the Year

Tell us if you've heard this one before: Bernhard Langer is Champions Tour Player of the Year.

The 58-year-old was announced as the 2015 winner on Saturday, a distinction Langer earned after a year that included two wins and his third Charles Schwab Cup title.

This is Langer's record fifth time earning player of the year distinction – officially recognized as the Jack Nicklaus Award. The German is now a back-to-back winner of the award for a second time, as his other four times taking honor occurred in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2014.

Following a season that included two wins and the season-long Charles Schwab Cup title, Bernhard Langer has been named the Champions Tour Player of the Year for a record fifth time.
