Back-nine surge brings Jaworski Western Refining Classic win

EL PASO, Texas – For most of the final round, there was doubt about who would walk away with the Lee Trevino trophy at the Western Refining College All-America Golf Classic. Several players held or shared the lead at some point during the day.

But late in the day – with the lead group on the 16th tee –Vanderbilt’s Zack Jaworski, playing in the second-to-last group, took control and opened up a two-shot lead. He would coast in, making par on his final three holes to best the 22-player field and earn his first collegiate win.

For Jaworski, he was late in joining the party at the top of the leaderboard.
