SYDNEY (AP) -- Australian teenage golfer Hannah Green will play at the LPGA Tour's qualifying school later this month after making the decision to turn professional.
The 19-year-old from Perth finished second to top-ranked Lydia Ko at the New Zealand Open last year, had a top-20 finish at the Australian Open in February and was the best-placed local player at the Australian Ladies Masters.
Green said ''doing well in those events showed me I was closer to making the transition than I'd previously thought, so it's time. I need to go and compete at that level and test myself against the world's best players more regularly.
