DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Al Ramsey’s body shook as his daughter, Ashlan, signed her scorecard. Q-School is a place where dreams come alive for entire families. Tears of joy and immense relief flow freely outside the scoring tent. Al and his wife, Carla, drove to Florida from Greenville, S.C., on Sunday with Ashlan’s boyfriend and the family dog. They stayed hidden during the final round, coming out to the 18th green only when Ashlan had a clean-up par putt.
“I knew it was either going to be congratulating her or consoling her,” said a teary-eyed Al, “and I wanted to be here for both.
