How’s this for a captains’ matchup: Juli Inkster vs. Annika Sorenstam. That’s right, Sorenstam has officially put her name in the hat for Team Europe’s next captain, Golfweek has learned.
Inkster, who led Team USA to a historic comeback in Germany in September – with an assist from Suzann Pettersen – will be bringing her lunch pail to Des Moines Golf and Country Club and expects to meet Sorenstam there on the first tee.
