Abraham Ancer picked up his first Web.com Tour victory Sunday as he defeated Bronson Burgoon in a one-hole playoff at the Nova Scotia Open.
Ancer, who turned pro in 2013 out of Oklahoma, birdied the par-4 18th in the playoff after carding a final-round, 3-under 68 to finish at 13-under 271. Burgoon, who helped Texas A&M to the 2009 NCAA Championship, also shot a closing 68.
After four straight top-25 finishes to start the season, including a T-2 at the Brasil Champions, Ancer missed six of nine cuts and didn't finish better than T-30.
