The American rookie came down with food poisoning on Tuesday night and was taken out of Juli Inkster’s Friday morning lineup. Worst-case scenario: The Americans must forfeit a point during Sunday singles should Lee be unable to play.
It’s a big blow to the Americans, who are looking to avoid a record third consecutive Solheim Cup loss. Lee skipped Thursday night’s gala as well as Friday’s rainy practice session. She did manage to make it to the opening ceremony.
