LPGA rookie Alison Lee fired a 4-under 67 Friday during the second round of the Kingsmill Championship, taking a two-shot lead midway through the tournament.
Lee, the former UCLA Bruin who won the 2014 ANNIKA Award, went bogey-free on the back nine, going out in 3-under 32 thanks to consecutive birdies on 15 and 16.
"Coming into today I felt really confident, especially after my round yesterday," said Lee. "(I'm) feeling good, especially being on the top of the leaderboard going into the weekend definitely gives me an advantage for this week."
