Alison Armstrong (2016) verbally commits to Vanderbilt

Alison Armstrong, a Class of 2016 recruit from Tampa, Fla., recently committed to Vanderbilt University.

Armstrong, ranked 38th among Romine's top 50 girls for 2016, chose the Commodores over Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Furman, Missouri, Virginia and Wake Forest.

“It became increasingly apparent the SEC, and Vanderbilt in particular, was the best fit overall," Armstrong told Golfweek. "In addition to the strong bond with Coach Greg Allen and Coach Holly Clark, I am so very blessed to already have amazing friendships with my future teammates.”

Armstrong has eight career top-10 AJGA finishes, including a third-place showing at the 2015 Toyota Music City Open and a victory at the 2013 Bass Pro Shops Payne Stewart Open.
