Alex Jamieson, who is the No. 3-ranked junior golfer in Massachusetts, has given a verbal commitment to play college golf at Notre Dame.
Jamieson, a Class of 2017 recruit from Duxbury, Mass., made unofficial visits to Georgetown, Boston College, Connecticut, Rutgers, Maryland, Purdue and Davidson. He considered offers from Boston College, Connecticut and Georgetown.
“I chose the University of Notre Dame because it offers one of the most elite educational experiences in the world, combined with competition in one of the best conferences in the country, the ACC,” Jamieson said. “The facilities and resources available at Notre Dame match that of any school in the country.
