The Collegiate Women’s Sports Awards (CWSA) named Alabama junior Emma Talley the Honda Sports Award winner for golf. Talley is the second Alabama player in the last four years to win the Honda Award for golf.
Talley, native of Princeton, Ky., finished her outstanding season with a one-stroke victory at the NCAA Championship played at the Concession Golf Club in Bradenton, Fla., on June 25. She posted a bogey-free, final-round 69 to finish at 3-under 285, and became the first NCAA medalist in Alabama golf history.
Talley ended the year ranked No. 7 in the Golfweek/Sagarin College Rankings.
