Earlier this week, the Gil Hanse-designed golf course built for the 2016 Rio Olympics finally came under the control of Olympic organizers (the Brazilian Golf Confederation).
But if one anticipated it would be smooth sailing up to the games next August, there's at least one more issue to clear up.
Ty Votaw, vice president of the International Golf Federation, spoke with Reuters and said that now that the Confederation is overseeing the maintenance of the layout for the next several months, the work doesn't stop.
"The biggest issue we have right now is making sure that there is a disciplined approach in executing the agronomy plan," Votaw told Reuters.
