It was wintertime on the northeast side of Atlanta nearly three years ago when the phone rang in the shop at RiverPines Golf Club, a public facility in Johns Creek, just down the road from Atlanta Athletic Club. Teacher Mike Perpich was about to begin his day on the practice tee, but he ambled back to see who was calling.
On the line was PGA Tour player Jason Bohn, who makes his home in nearby Acworth. Perpich certainly knew who Bohn was, but never had met the man. “I need help,” the concerned voice told Perpich. “I’m going to lose my card.
