GUYANCOURT, France – Rory McIlroy finds himself just two shots back of Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee after a wild third round at the French Open that showcased the World No. 4’s very worst and very best.
Coming to France after a missed cut at the U.S. Open at Oakmont two weeks ago, McIlroy was hoping to find some positive results from swing changes he started to work on during a practice session with his longtime swing coach Michael Bannon on Friday before his second round at Oakmont.
For two rounds at Le Golf National the changes showed results, allowing McIlroy to climb up the leaderboard.
