ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. – Here’s the thing about PGA Tour events: You don’t always have to drive away with a trophy to sense the accomplishment of victory.
Some victories are large and life-changing, such as the one that Kevin Kisner experienced on Sunday in capturing the RSM Classic, his first PGA Tour win, by six shots. Some players walk away with triumphs that are smaller and often overlooked. But they nonetheless are significant as a player tries to build toward bigger days ahead.
Consider Kisner, for instance. Now 31, he always could putt and he always has been armed with ample confidence.
